She began her career in the early 1980s as a French singer before breaking into the international music scene in the 1990s. Dion was born to a large, impoverished family in Charlemagne, Quebec
At the age of 12, she wrote her first song, with the help of her mother and her brother Jacques: “Ce d’état queue rave.” But it certainly was not just a dream!
