Pakistan Super League PSL 7 2022 Venues
Lahore and Karachi have been chosen as the venues of the 7th edition of the PSL. Karachi will host the first 15 matches while Lahore will be hosting the rest of the 19 matches. It will be the first time since 2017 that Lahore will be hosting the final of the PSL.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, all the cricket matches of PSL 7 will be played in Pakistan. Entirely the teams will play 27 total matches. The first cricket match of the PSL 7th edition will take place on 27th January 2022, and the date of the final cricket match is 27 February.

Pakistan Super League PSL 7 2022 Draft Date
December 12 has been picked as the PSL 7 draft date. Drafts will be held at the National High-Performance Centre in Lahore Pakistan.
The first pick in the Platinum category, Diamond category, Gold category, and Emerging category belongs to the Lahore Qalandars this season. The first pick in the Silver category and Supplementary category belongs to Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators respectively.

Islamabad United
Islamabad United named IU is one of the oldest franchises in the Pakistan Super League who joined hands with PCB in 2015 for a ten-year contract. IU is possessed by Leonine Global Sports under the power of Amna Naqvi and Ali Naqvi.
Islamabad franchise is one of the most harmonious performers in PSL in the last four seasons they played under the coaching of Dean Jones. The management of IU has grabbed Islamabad united squad for 2021 in the draft ceremony of PSL 2021 last year held in Lahore. Islamabad United squad 2021 captain so far has not been confirmed but it is expected that Shadab Khan will be given the role for the captaincy in the Sixth Edition of the league.
Lahore Qalandars
Lahore Qalandars franchise is the most talked about the franchise in PSL and unfortunately for all the wrong reasons. In the last four seasons, they have not been able to win consistently which leads them to be knocked out before the play-off stage. Lahore Qalandars is known as LQ and their home ground for this year will be Gaddafi Stadium.
LQ is owned by Rana brothers who are well-known businessmen based in Qatar. Aqib Javed who is the Head Coach of Lahore Qalandars has picked Lahore Qalandars squad 2021 PSL in the draft ceremony held in November last year. Sohail Akhtar has been named for Lahore Qalandars squad 2021 captain which is a unique decision considering they had the services of Muhammad Hafeez and Fakhar Zaman available in the lineup.
Karachi Kings

Peshawar Zalmi
Peshawar Zalmi known as PZ is the most popular and profitable franchise of the Pakistan Super League. The franchise is owned by the CEO of Haier Pakistan under the ownership of Mr. Javed Afridi. PZ is also another franchise that joined hands with PCB from the inaugural edition of PSL which was played back in 2015.

Multan Sultans

The owners of Multan Sultans have changed last year because the previous owners had some financial problems so Ali Khan Tareen and his brother Alamgir Khan Tareen purchased the franchise rights at the highest ever price in PSL history.
Last year, the franchise has had a poor show and couldn’t perform quite well they expected under the new owners of the franchise and management.
